A One-Day Adventure to the Most Beautiful Lake in the Cordillera Blanca

Lake 69 is often considered the most stunning lake in the Cordillera Blanca. Its vivid turquoise waters, set against a dramatic backdrop of towering snow-capped peaks, make it a must-see for hikers and nature lovers. Thanks to its accessibility, it’s become a popular one-day hike from Huaraz.

🗺️ Itinerary

5:00 AM – Pickup from Huaraz

• After an early breakfast at your hotel, our tourist bus will pick you up around 5:00 AM.
• Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive to Cebollapampa, the starting point of the hike.

8:00 AM – Begin the Hike

• Start your ascent on a moderate trail that winds through valleys and past waterfalls.
• Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Pisco (5,752 m), Chacraraju (6,112 m), Yanapaccha (5,460 m), and Huascarán (6,678 m).

12:00 PM – Arrive at Lake 69

• Reach the lake after approximately 4 hours of hiking.
• Spend time exploring, relaxing, and taking photos of this glacial gem.
• Optional: Walk around the lake to fully appreciate its beauty.

2:00 PM – Return Hike

• Begin your descent back to Cebollapampa via the same trail.

4:30 PM – Return to Huaraz

• Board the bus and enjoy a relaxing drive back.
• Arrive in Huaraz around 7:00 PM.
