Once in a lifetime cultural experience

Incredible 3 day journey with guide Juana! The mountain hike to Buscalan was challenging but rewarding with stunning Cordillera views. Meeting 107 year old Apo Whang-od and getting traditional tattoo from her was surreal, truly once in lifetime moment. Homestay with local Kalinga family warm and authentic, learned so much about their culture. Village peaceful and beautiful, felt like stepping back in time. Meals simple but delicious with unlimited rice and coffee. Long journey from Manila but absolutely worth it. Bring good hiking shoes and cash for tattoo fees.
