Tour Itinerary
Morning:
7:30 AM – 8:00 AM – Hotel pickup in Siem Reap by an air-conditioned vehicle.
8:00 AM – 9:30 AM – Scenic drive to Phnom Kulen National Park, passing through lush Cambodian countryside, rice fields, and small villages. Your guide will share insights into Cambodian culture, local life, and the historical significance of Phnom Kulen.
Mid-Morning:
9:30 AM – 10:30 AM – River of a Thousand Lingas
First, we visit the River of a Thousand Lingas, an ancient sacred site where intricate carvings of Hindu deities and symbols are etched into the riverbed. These carvings date back to the 9th century and were created to bless the waters that flowed to Angkor.
Walk along the jungle path to see the carvings and small waterfalls while listening to the guide’s explanation of Hindu mythology and its influence on the Khmer Empire.
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Reclining Buddha
A short drive brings us to Preah Ang Thom, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site that houses a massive reclining Buddha statue carved into the rock.
Learn about the significance of the statue and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding jungle.
Lunch Break (Own Expense)
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near Phnom Kulen (optional). You can try Cambodian dishes such as Lok Lak or Amok.
Afternoon:
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Phnom Kulen Waterfall
The final stop is the Phnom Kulen Waterfall, a beautiful two-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush jungle.
Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters or relax by the rocks and soak in the natural beauty.
This is a great opportunity for photography, and your guide will help capture some amazing pictures.
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM – Return Journey
After enjoying the waterfall, we head back to Siem Reap. The drive back offers more scenic countryside views.
3:30 PM – 4:00 PM – Drop-off at your hotel
