Nestled between the majestic peaks of Huascarán and Huandoy, the Llanganuco Lakes—Chinancocha and Orconcocha—are renowned for their stunning turquoise waters fed by glacial melt. These high-altitude lakes are among the most accessible and breathtaking natural attractions in the Huascarán National Park.

🕘 Itinerary

9:00 AM – Departure from Huaraz

• Meet at our office in Huaraz and begin the scenic drive toward Llanganuco.
• Pass through charming Andean villages such as Carhuaz (2,650 masl) and Yungay, with photo stops at panoramic viewpoints showcasing snow-capped peaks like Huascarán, Huandoy, Hualcán, and Copa.

Late Morning – Arrival at Llanganuco Lakes

• Visit Orconcocha Lake for birdwatching and serene views.
• Continue to Chinancocha Lake, where you can enjoy optional activities such as:
  • Rowboat rides on the lake
  • Leisurely walks along the lakeshore

Afternoon – Lunch & Return

• Stop at a typical countryside restaurant for lunch (not included).
• Begin the return journey via Yungay, arriving back in Huaraz around 6:00 PM.
