Discover the highlights of the countryside surrounding Kampot on a guided tour. Visit the salt fields, a cave temple, a tranquil lake, and a large pepper plantation.
Depart from Kampot and visit a large salt-producing facility located on the outskirts of the city. Learn about its economic importance to the area and the various steps of the process.
Next, visit Phnom Chhngok, a wonderful cave temple with 203 steps to its entrance. Inside the cave’s main chamber stands a remarkable 7th-century (Funan-era) brick temple, dedicated to Shiva. Admire the wonderful views from the cave entrance.
Visit Brateak Krola Lake, an artificial lake constructed in the time of the Khmer Rouge.
Enjoy a guided tour of a pepper plantation. Enjoy some tastings of the pepper produced onsite as you learn about the production process.
Finally, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at the famous Crab Market (own expense). Explore the charming seaside town of Kep, known for its fresh Kep crab and local seafood dishes.
