Butrint is situated about 19 kilometers from Saranda, requiring a short drive to reach it. Renowned as one of Albania’s most important archaeological treasures, Butrint holds immense cultural, historical, and natural significance. In recognition of its rich, layered history and outstanding value, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 and later designated a National Park in 2000.

This tour invites you on a journey through time, where the transitions between ancient civilizations are still clearly visible. From the Illyrian period in the 6th century BC to the Roman, Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman eras, each chapter of Butrint’s past reveals its own unique architectural character and timeless charm. You’ll spend approximately 2 hours touring the site before driving back to Saranda or your designated drop-off point.
