Surrounded by the tranquil waters of Juma Lake and the Paraná do Mamori River, Tapiri Floating Lodge offers a unique stay in the heart of the Amazon. The lodge consists of a single building with separate guest rooms, each featuring a private bathroom and air conditioning for your comfort.
Outside every room, a hammock invites you to relax while taking in sweeping views of the river. Adventurous guests can even plunge into the lake to cool off.
Despite its remote location, the lodge blends the serenity of nature with modern amenities, including Starlink WiFi, ensuring reliable connectivity in the wilderness.
The Amazon is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, and a three‑day jungle trip promises unforgettable encounters:

Our day begins at 8:00 AM with pickup from your hotel in Manaus. We head to Ceasa Port, where you’ll board a speedboat along the Rio Negro. As we navigate the waters, our first stop is the floating village of Catalão. Here, you’ll visit a fish farm and encounter the Giant Arapaima Gigas—the largest scaled freshwater fish in the world. You’ll even have the chance to feed them and feel their incredible strength!
After the fish farm, we continue by speedboat to the famous Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and the Solimões River meet but do not mix—a truly remarkable natural phenomenon. From there, we travel along the river to Careiro Village.
Next, we continue by road for about an hour to Maçarico Lake. The final leg of the journey is by speedboat, bringing you to Tapiri Floating Lodge at approximately 11:30 AM.
At noon, enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local Amazonian cuisine. Then, at 2:30 PM, we set out on a canoe trip. During this excursion, you’ll spot the world‑famous Amazon Pink River Dolphin and a variety of colorful birds. You’ll also have the chance to try piranha fishing.
We’ll remain on the water until around 6:30 PM to watch the breathtaking sunset. At 7:00 PM, we return to the lodge for dinner.
At 8:30 PM, we head back onto the waters in search of the fearsome caiman. With the help of your jungle guide, you’ll see one up close as it’s carefully captured for observation before being safely released back into its habitat.

Day 2 – Sunrise & Jungle Exploration
The second day of our trip begins early, at 5:00 AM. We depart the lodge at 5:30 AM on a motorized boat, heading to a serene spot to watch the jungle awaken with the sunrise.
Afterwards, we return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast to prepare for our morning trek. During the walk, your jungle guide will share fascinating insights about the Amazon, including its medicinal plants and the diverse insects that inhabit it. You’ll also have the chance to spot native wildlife—perhaps even some cheeky monkeys!
Once the trek is complete, we head back to the lodge for lunch. At 3:00 PM, our afternoon adventure begins with a canoe trip into the Várzea Forest, an area flooded with countless small channels and waterways. This unique ecosystem offers a different perspective of the Amazon, with opportunities to learn about its flora and fauna.
During the dry season (August to March), this excursion is done on foot since the forest is no longer flooded. It’s an excellent area for spotting animals such as monkeys, sloths, and various bird species.
After the excursion, we return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3 – Local Life & Return to Manaus
Our day begins at 7:00 AM with breakfast at the lodge. At 8:00 AM, we’ll head out to visit a local family living along the river. You’ll learn about their simple yet wonderful way of life, see how they grow their own food, and even taste fresh local fruits.
On the way back to the lodge, you’ll have the opportunity to swim in the river—just as the local Amazonian people do.
At 1:30 PM, we begin our journey back to Manaus, either to your hotel or directly to the airport. We expect to arrive at approximately 4:00 PM.
