At 8:30 a.m, our Golden Trail Travel Cycling team will warmly greet you at your hotel in Hanoi, ready to embark on an exhilarating day exploring the picturesque countryside. After a brief introduction to the day’s itinerary and a rundown of the biking trail, we’ll depart from the bustling city center. Prepare to be amazed as we leave behind the urban chaos and venture into the tranquil countryside.
Our first destination is a charming countryside village, where we’ll have the pleasure of visiting a vibrant local market (if it happens to be market day). Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, marvel at the array of fresh produce, and witness the local trading customs. Following this, we’ll take a leisurely stroll to a nearby farm, where you’ll discover the impressive variety of vegetables and orchards cultivated by the local farmers. From cauliflower and cabbage to tomatoes, green peas, Chinese peas, corn, oranges, pomelos, and papayas, you’ll be immersed in the rich agricultural traditions of the region.
Continuing our journey, we’ll make our way to the enchanting Thay Pagoda, nestled at the foot of a majestic limestone cliff. Dating back to the 11th century, during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong, this pagoda is a remarkable complex of temples, communal houses, and pagodas. Marvel at the architecture as you explore its three distinct sections: the outer part, where offerings and ceremonies take place, the middle part dedicated to Buddha worship, and the inner part devoted to the veneration of the revered monk Tu Dao Hanh, after whom the pagoda is named. Don’t miss the captivating water puppet performances held on the small stilted stage in Long Tri Pond during festive occasions.
A delectable lunch awaits you at a local restaurant, where you’ll indulge in the flavors of authentic Vietnamese cuisine, savoring the regional specialties and fueling up for the next part of our adventure.
Our journey continues to Tay Phuong Pagoda, majestically perched atop Buffalo Mountain. Prepare to be awestruck by the pagoda’s ancient architectural beauty and the mesmerizing collection of wooden statues depicting Buddha and Arhats. As you explore the pagoda’s grounds, immerse yourself in the serene ambiance and soak in the spiritual atmosphere.
With our hearts and minds enriched by the day’s experiences, we’ll provide a comfortable transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi, concluding the Hanoi Countryside Cycling Tour Thay Tay Phuong Pagoda 1 Day. Expect to arrive back at your hotel around 5-6 p.m, cherishing the memories of this enchanting journey through Hanoi’s picturesque countryside.
