Next, you will visit Angkor Thom, a massive ancient city surrounded by an eight-meter-high wall. Measuring 3×3 kilometers, the laterite wall protects the treasures within, including a moat that remains flooded to this day. You will enter through the South Gate, where your guide will introduce you to its fascinating history. At the center of Angkor Thom lies the Bayon Temple, where 216 enigmatic faces gaze over the horizon. Your guide will help you find the best angles for photography and explain the intricate carvings on the gallery walls. The exploration continues to Baphuon, with its impressive long causeway and the giant Reclining Buddha, a masterpiece restored in 2011 after decades of disruption caused by the war.
